Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and singer (born in New York City on 22 November 1984) - Her versatility as an actress has brought many accolades for her work in dramas from the past to thrillers and adventure. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. As a child she was able to begin acting. Actually, at seven, she had already auditioned for commercials in a variety of different ways. The passion for acting developed quickly and she enrolled immediately at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Her debut came as an actor in the film North (1994) when she was nine. When she was eight years old, she starred alongside Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson starred next on screen in Just Cause (1995), before making her big break with Manny & Lo - a story about two sisters, orphans that get away.
